Arianna Huffington And Political Sex

I have read HuffPost, Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington's blog site for almost a year. It is in fact a liberal online news and commentary website AND aggregated blog.

Interesting place. Good writings, mostly. Arianna's pieces are really good.

But I did not know until today that she was a liberal when she was living with Henry Bernard Levin (a British journalist who was 22 years older), and later when she was involved with Democratic politician and then-governor (currently Attorney General) of California, Jerry Brown.

After that, she was a champion of Newt Gingrich's Republican Revolution while she was married to Bush family friend and oil billionaire Michael Huffington!

But wait ... check this out!

"The couple divorced in 1997, and in 1998 Michael Huffington disclosed his bisexuality. A 1999 magazine article claimed that Arianna Huffington "entered the marriage... with full knowledge of Michael Huffington's sexual interests in men". The financial terms of their divorce agreement remain undisclosed, but Huffington gained most of her wealth from her husband."

I guess the experience of being married to a bisexual Republican man has forced her to make up her mind ... hopefully. She switched again, back to liberalism!

I bet that her involvement with funny guy Roger Delano "My Brain Hurts" Hinkins' movement was quite adventurous, too.

"After her attempts to woo the religious right, in 1994, Doonesbury Cartoonist Garry Trudeau created a spoof of Arianna Huffington's spiritual experiences with a Los Angeles-based spiritual organization founded by John-Roger, the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness. The purpose of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) is to teach Soul Transcendence, which is becoming aware of yourself as a Soul and as one with God, not as a theory but as a living reality."

News for the vitamin popping zombies out there: YOU ARE STUPID!

A large clinical trial of almost 15,000 male doctors taking vitamins E and C for a decade showed no meaningful effect on cancer rates.

Another recent study found no benefit of vitamins E and C for heart disease.

In October 2008, a major trial studying whether vitamin E and selenium could lower a man’s risk for prostate cancer ended amidst worries that the treatments may do more harm than good.

And recently, doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York warned that vitamin C seems to protect not just healthy cells but cancer cells, too.

I am an engineer and have my common sense with me (almost) all the time (:-)
Saved about $40,000 by not buying the crap sold at drug stores and vitamin shops and by not seeing my doctor for almost 9 years ... and I'm doing well. No smoking, 2 glasses of wine daily, eat only full-fat butter (French), I like beef, pork, and most other meats, and drink only whole milk (rarely). Beer too.

Do you really need a study to tell you that you don't need to take those stupid vitamins? I mean, one glass of orange juice is taking you over the top on vitamin C. One glass of milk gives you the calcium. One day of sunbathing (with no sunscreen or a low SPF one if you really have to) will give you all the D vitamin you need. And so on ... you can get all the vitamins you need naturally, mostly from the food you eat.

Looks like the vitamins have the same effect as praying, but prayers are free (if you don't have to pay your church any dues).

Better start doing something useful: like NOT watching idiotic shows about vampires, 11th Hour, The Mentalist, Medium, or Fringe. Jeeezus!

Dr. Joseph "Pop A Pill, Kid!" Biederman of Harvard

Dr. Joseph "Pop A Pill, Kid!" Biederman's work at the prestigious Harvard University has fueled over the years an explosion in the use of powerful antipsychotic medicines in children.

During the same time. he had earned at least $1.6 million from drug makers between 2000 and 2007.

Oh, and he failed to report most of this income to his university.

And he may have violated federal and university research rules.

And maybe he goes to Hell soon ... I'll be there for him. (:-)

Does he have any kids? If yes, do they take pills? If so, how many? Anyone out there knows anything?

Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff of Emory University, arguably one of the nation’s most influential psychiatric researchers, earned more than $2.8 million in consulting arrangements with drug makers from 2000 to 2007.

He failed to report at least $1.2 million of that income to his university.

He violated federal research rules by failing to disclose his ties to the drug makers in applications for research grants.

As a result, the National Institutes of Health suspended a $9.3 million grant to Emory University and placed restrictions on other grants.

Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff was forced to relinquish his chairmanship of Emory’s psychiatry department.

Dr. Frederick K. Goodwin and your children

Dr. Goodwin, a former director of the National Institute of Mental Health is a psychiatrist and popular radio host.

On Sept. 20, 2005, in a program produced by Bill Lichtenstein, Frederick Goodwin warned that children with bipolar disorder who are left untreated could suffer brain damage.

I am an engineer and have my common sense with me all the time - when I see all these young Americans popping 5-10 pills every day, my heart sinks. It is because morons like Goodwin that your kids become pill-devouring zombies. Just check this out:

“But as we’ll be hearing today,” Dr. Goodwin reassured his audience, “modern treatments — mood stabilizers in particular — have been proven both safe and effective in bipolar children.”Dr. Goodwin warned that children with bipolar disorder who are left untreated could suffer brain damage, a controversial view. “But as we’ll be hearing today,” Dr. Goodwin reassured his audience, “modern treatments — mood stabilizers in particular — have been proven both safe and effective in bipolar children.”

That very day, GlaxoSmithKline paid Dr. Goodwin $2,500 to give a promotional lecture for its mood stabilizer drug, Lamictal, at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Fla. Indeed, Glaxo paid Dr. Goodwin more than $329,000 that year for promoting Lamictal, records given Congressional investigators show.

Dr. Frederick Goodwin is not stupid. He's just another mothe*f***er making a good living on parents' ignorance and fear (after all, they love their children and would do anything for their well being).

Anyone knows where Frederick lives?

Also, would you buy any drug from GlaxoSmithKline after they proved again and again that they care only for their profits?

Missouri - The Dumb And Dumber State - Voted REPUBLICAN three times in a row!

The uneducated and ignorant citizens of Missouri voted for the George W "Legendary Incompetence" Bush in 2000 and 2004.

One would assume that after voting twice for the greatest failure in the American presidential history, the state of Missouri would wake up and do the right thing.

But no, those flea-brained cave dwellers voted again for the republicans and their Sarah "AirHead Bimbo" Palin and John "Forgot What Day Is Today" McCain (you know him, the senior citizen on Sarah's presidential campaign bus).

This while the American economy is on life support after 8 years of idiotic republican administration, losing almost ONE MILLION JOBS in the first 10 months of 2008 alone!

Not to mention the SOCIALIST purchase by Bush's republican administration of worthless PRIVATE BANK assets using PUBLIC money! Even Stalin wouldn't have done it better!

Kristol Thinks Americans Are Smart

"You think Americans are such idiots, Americans wouldn't understand that people die in a war unless you show brains in the road?" Kristol asked."They think it's a movie," Hamill said. "Let them see a coffin."

Well, at the end of the most incompetent presidency ever, with the economy in deep recession and almost one million jobs lost in just the past year, 28% of Americans still think that their country is on the right track.

At the beginning of the Iraq war, 76% of Americans believed that there was a direct connection between the 9/11 attack and Saddam although there was ABSOLUTELY NO evidence to support such claims.

The republican party strongly believes that the Americans are idiots - just see Sarah Palin's comments regarding Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. Or all that smear and efforts to push non-issues at the front of the national debate when the country was on life-support - with McCain declaring that the fundamentals are strong!

And check this out: Ford CEO Mulally's corporate jet is a perk included in his contract for BOTH he and his wife!

His salary: $28 million! Mulally actually lives in Seattle, not Detroit. The company jet takes him home and back on weekends.

What about selling the jets, shaving $8 million off his salary, and moving to Detroit? Right there, $50-$100 million available for the day-to-day operations of his company.

To avoid any potential appearance issues, Chairman Cox recused himself from the Commission vote, and he has not been involved in this investigation at any time.”

Ford Motor Company, CEO Alan Mulally: Public Money Or Else

Ford Motor Company, manufacturer of low quality moving mounds of metal known as Ford vehicles, thinks that you, the taxpayer, are stupid.

These boneheads fought for years any efforts to increase fuel economy standards, they promoted monstrosities like the Hummer, inefficient SUVs and pickups as demand for foreign oil increased daily, and manufactured junk cars while Toyota and Honda invested billions in efficient cars (see Toyota Prius).

He basically says that no, Ford did not cause its own problems by being an incompetent and arrogant bunch of lazy thinkers ... and that bailing out Detroit was essential to the U.S. economic recovery. In other words, more billions of public money for a company that proved to be a total business failure. Otherwise, America will lose another gigantic icon of abysmal ineptitude and now that Bush is gone we can not risk that.

Sarah Palin “not a reader but a breeder ” - Bill Maher

Haaaa haaa haaa.

”Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast”

One pregnancy for every college Sarah Palin went to ...

"... frayed syntax, bungled grammar and run-on sentences that ramble on long after thought has given out completely are a candidate’s valuable traits?"

"What on earth are our underpaid teachers, laboring in the vineyards of education, supposed to tell students about the following sentence, committed by the serial syntax-killer from Wasilla High and gleaned by my colleague Maureen Dowd for preservation for those who ask, “How was it she talked?”

My concern has been the atrocities there in Darfur and the relevance to me with that issue as we spoke about Africa and some of the countries there that were kind of the people succumbing to the dictators and the corruption of some collapsed governments on the continent, the relevance was Alaska’s investment in Darfur with some of our permanent fund dollars.

And, she concluded, “never, ever did I talk about, well, gee, is it a country or a continent, I just don’t know about this issue.”

It’s admittedly a rare gift to produce a paragraph in which whole clumps of words could be removed without noticeably affecting the sense, if any.

"It doesn't come up," said David Felinton, 5-foot-9 and 233 pounds, as he walked toward City Hall one recent morning. "We've got a lot of economic challenges here in Huntington. That's usually the focus."
Huntington's economy has withered, its poverty rate is worse than the national average, and vagrants haunt a downtown riverfront park. But this city's financial woes are not nearly as bad as its health.
Nearly half the adults in Huntington's five-county metropolitan area are obese — an astounding percentage, far bigger than the national average in a country with a well-known weight problem."

George W Bush's Departing Gifts To The Oil Industry

"The view of Delicate Arch natural bridge — an unspoiled landmark so iconic it's on Utah's license plates — could one day include a drilling platform under a proposal that environmentalists call a Bush administration "fire sale" for the oil and gas industry."

"This is the fire sale, the Bush administration's last great gift to the oil and gas industry ..."
"The tracts of land offered here, next to Arches National Park or above Desolation Canyon, these are the crown jewels of America's lands that the BLM is offering to the highest bidder."
Stephen Bloch, a staff attorney for the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.

After George W Bush, also known as the incompetent-in-chief, brought an 8-year national nightmare upon our country, there was no logical reason to not let Obama start his presidency on November 5th.

If Bush stays in office until the end of Januaray 2009, there will be no functional country for Obama to lead, since incompetent-in-chief's minions will do a "fire-sale" of anything worth something to the oil industry and other corporate backers.

It's really a shame. And Bush will forever go down in history as the worst American president ever.

The Reformist view in the republican party is articulated most fully by books, such as “Comeback” by David Frum and “Grand New Party” by Ross Douthat and Reihan Salam, as well as the various writings of people like Ramesh Ponnuru, Yuval Levin, Jim Manzi, Rod Dreher, Peggy Noonan, and David Brooks.

The Traditionalist view is promoted by guess whom? Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, Grover Norquist (Americans for Tax Reform), Leonard Leo (Federalist Society) and Tony Perkins (Family Research Council).

If GOP hopes to ever regain lost political territory, it must support a reform within the party. The traditionalist camp will only keep the conservative movement from becoming again a force on the American political stage.

Pittsburgh KDKA Target Audience: Assisted Living Delusional Senior Citizens

I get my world news from CNN, BBC, AP, WDUQ and many other online sources (i.e. Asia Times). For the local news I go to KDKA radio. When the WDUQ station broadcasts bad jazz, I switch to KDKA - nothing makes me laugh like those Limbaugh-status aspiring talk show hosts.

And among them, Kevin Miller (The Round Mound Of Sound) is a special case. But he is a shoe-in for his audience: very old people in assisted living centers who lost their minds long ago. Just imagine this: in the vaning days of the 2008 presidential campaign, most callers were opening with a declaration like this: I am a lifelong democrat but I will vote this year for the republican ticket.

This after 8 long and miserable years of the most incompetent republican administration ever! The darkest period in America's modern history started with a few ragtag idiots with box cutters attacking the Pentagon (for God's sake, USSR couldn't do that!), destroying the Twin Towers (symbol of America's financial might), and killing almost 3,000 people and ended with the American economy on life support, facing the most serious depression since The Great One almost a century ago.

Oh, forgot to mention that between these two disasters framing the George W Bush presidency, there were corruption, an unnecessary war-of-choice in Iraq with tens of thousands of children, women, and innocent men killed, abysmal incompetence in government response to the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina, torture, Abu Ghraib, arrogance, lies, disregard for expert advice, God crap, biggest government ever (under "small government" republican leadership!), biggest deficit ever (under a "financially conservative" president), biggest bankruptcies ever, lowered international status, and I have to stop here because it is not worth my time to keep writing about all this republican-made mess.

Even if it's cracked up a little bit, maybe I'll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don't let me miss an open door. And if there is an open door in (20)12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door."

Clinton County, Ohio Voted TWICE For G.W. Bush

November 10, 2008: DHL job cuts devastate Ohio community

"... more than 8,000 employees are facing layoffs after DHL announced it will close its hub in Wilmington, Ohio."

Yeah, me too. And I blame those morons who "connected" with Bush and voted for him even when, after the first term, it was obvious that the guy was a fraud in terms of presidential skills.
Maybe Sherry Barrett, her family, and her friends voted Bush? Clinton County, Ohio went republican in 2000 and 2004.

What the most incompetent REPUBLICAN administration ever brought us? Two badly mismanaged wars (includes the unnecessary Iraq war, "war of choice"), a crippling recession, incredible corruption levels, the biggest bankruptcies ever, the biggest deficit ever, the biggest government ever, and a SOCIALIST purchase of worthless PRIVATE assets from Wall Street banks using PUBLIC money - Stalin would not have done it better!

The Killer Umbrella

After a similar killing in Italy, a woman in New York jammed her umbrella through her boyfriend's eye and into his brain. The man is on life support as of today.

How long before we buy umbrellas at gun shops?

Google "Shacola Murray" for more.

Is Miley Cyrus Getting Fat ?

Just noticed that Miley Cyrus is apparently adding weight with each new photo published by those gossip magazines. Just pay attention to her underarms and hips. And her face ... it is now almost round. Does she know about the dangers of being overweight?

Panhandler after Obama election: Still need change!

The cold reality is that the election of the first African American president did not improve the economy overnight: panhandlers still need change, a week after the historic November 4th 2008 night.

On the sunny side, after 8 years of incompetence, arrogance, lies, waste of pulic money, giant government, fiscal irresponsibility, and foreign affairs recklessness, a guy who is able to speak in proper English is now in the White House.

Let's hope that he succeeds in changing America. Still, I expect that panhandlers will always need change.

Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko of Ukraine

Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko of Ukraine sizzles wherever her good looking body is displayed. Movies. Magazines. Commercials.

Hot. Steamy. Beautiful. Gun skills.

But come on ...

"Camille is a real personality, a real character. It's a major, integral role," Kurylenko tells the mag. "It's not just hanging out in the back while the action is going on. I think she's really interesting, especially for a Bond girl."

Haaaaa haaaaa haaaaa. That was a good one! Real personality? Character? Major role? Integral?
Girl, just shut up. As in Sarah Palin's case, sometimes it is better just to show up and shut up.

You may know Olga from her movie work in the films "Annulaire, L'", "Paris, je t'aime", and "Le Serpent". More recently, she starred in "Hitman". Olga will next be seen in her biggest role to date as a sexy Bond girl in the upcoming 007 movie "Quantum of Solace'".

Republican Boehner is right!

"Or, as House GOP leader John Boehner told colleagues Wednesday, "America remains a center-right country. Democrats should not make the mistake of viewing Tuesday's results as a repudiation of conservatism." "

Boehner is right. America voted against republican incompetence, hypocrisy, liars, chickenhawks, arrogance, ignorance, bimbos, and corruption.

Neugebauer The Plumber Does Not get It

Among a sea of dejection at McCain's concession speech (where Sarah "Lipstick" Palin was muzzled despite her request to speak), Kevin Neugebauer of Katy, Texas, said:

"Being a conservative, I think the Republican Party's kind of lost some of their identity of who they are. I really don't understand how it could happen ... I don't know if it's really sunk in. It's hard to understand."

After eight long and miserable years of a totally incompetent republican administration that has brought our country to its knees, Kevin "The Plumber" Neugebauer of Katy, Texas has cast his vote again for the republican ticket (made up by a very old man and an airheaded second-place beauty contest material).

BrandNewCitizen's take:

He will never understand. The tool on which human understanding is based is MIA in Kevin's case. May his god help him!

Sarah Muzzled by McCain At Concession Speech

Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request.

As a result, the comedy world has lost one last outrageously funny Sarah "Hockey Mom Bullpit Moose Hunter Putin's Rearing Head God Health Care Umbrella Job Creation" Palin moment.

Lost it? Me too.

Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus

"One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books."

Yeah, GOP will send out a press release: "Our party is even stupider than America thought while whooping our azzes on November 4th 2008. Our bimbo for VPOTUS (vice president of the United States of America) spent about a quarter of a million on expensive clothing in order to better connect with regular Americans like Wurzelbacher The Plumber."

Can't wait!

"... we apologize and express our condolences" NO COMMENTS

The U.S. military is investigating the deaths caused by the bombing of remote Wech Baghtu in the southern province of Kandahar.

A villager said American forces had given them permission to bury the dead, which he said included 23 children and 10 women.

A U.S. spokesman, Cmdr. Jeff Bender, added that "if innocent people were killed in this operation, we apologize and express our condolences."

As I said, no comments needed.

Is Rockdale, Georgia the Epicenter Of Universal Stupidity?

Just one sample of a Rockdale citizen's rantings (from Rockdale Citizen online):

"Regarding the husband being charged with raping his wife last week. Are you kidding me? What about; 'Cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh?' The dictionary defines rape as forced sexual relations against a person's will. By this definition, it is possible for a man to rape his wife? Why would a man want to rape his wife for that matter? Sounds to me like there's a number of issues between both the husband and the wife needs addressing! If you're going to jail for it, why not just rape the neighbor's wife? I got it, the assumption is made that all guilt falls on a rapist and one being raped is completely innocent, right? Unfortunately, powerful misguided domestic violence organizations have used their influence over the past 20 years to get their point across here in Rockdale County. And thanks to the arrival of feminism came the idea that a woman has full control over her body. If she doesn't want to have the child, they argue that she has the right to terminate the pregnancy because it is her body being used to nurture the child, right? If she doesn't want to have sex, then a husband does not have the right to request sex from her. However, these ideas are in direct contradiction to the plain teachings in I Corinthians 7. If a woman deliberately causes the harm then she was either abused, coerced, or insane. However, the truth is that children and men are actually the victims in most domestic violence matters and women are perpetrators of the abuse. The media betrays only way around."
